The English Baccalaureate
The English Baccalaureate pathway will be followed by the majority of students. A small number of students may be offered alternative courses to suit their individual needs.
The "English Baccalaureate" measure was introduced in 2011. To gain this measure, qualifications must be attained in the following academic subjects English, Mathematics, two Sciences (can include Computing), a Modern Foreign Language, and a Humanities subject, currently limited to History or Geography. Choosing the right Options is very important. - these are the subjects you will take until the end of Year 11. There is no easy choice. Some subjects are more academic than others, some more vocational, but they all require hard work, determination, and ambition to succeed.
