On Friday 4th May 2018 The Coleshill School held a non-uniform day and cake sale to raise funds for Angel, Year 11 student.
Angel has been diagnosed with cancer and is having specialist treatment in America which her family are having to fund.
The students and staff at The Coleshill School have generously donated an incredible £2,390.89!
Lucy, who is a good friend of Angel’s, donated £100 and commented “We wanted to raise a lot of money for our friend who is very poorly and we miss her at school. We hope we have put a smile on her face when she finds out how much the students and staff have donated.”
Eileen Bishop, Head of Year 11, said “I am so very proud of the students in this school and my year 11s who were determined to make this event happen. Thank you to everyone who supported this worthy cause”.
Ian Smith-Childs, Headteacher said “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of our students. They have all given money towards this worthy cause which will greatly help Angel and her family at this difficult time. We wish Angel all our best wishes and support and look forward to seeing her when she returns from America”.
